"Letters from the Garden"
In the "Letters from the Garden" series, I aim to convey the bright and fresh impression of a walk in the garden, to capture the blooms and the changing play of sunlight in the petals. The text complements the picture, it is like a handwritten letter about a memorable moment from the walk.
Some paintings are made in mixed technique, transparent watercolour layers convey the subtlety of petals and depth of shadows, and strokes of oil pastel with bright flashes bring mood and dynamics.
